The preset by itself as a Multiband Compressor layers itself to multiple spectrums, when it does this, it sorta isolates each instrument as each instrument has a different range. For the rest of us, a good tool is essential.

I think it really depends on the instruments you are using and what frequncy those instruments take within the mix. If your a master at mastering, you can probably get good results with any tool.
